Recovery.com’s Tom Farley to Emcee National Recovery Month Kickoff

MADISON, Wis., Aug. 27, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tom Farley, Community Outreach Director for Recovery.com, will emcee the 2026 Recovery Month Kickoff Luncheon on Thursday, September 3, at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C., opening a month of national recovery advocacy in front of public officials and community leaders. 

Faces & Voices of Recovery and Mobilize Recovery host the invitation-only luncheon, which runs from noon to 2pm and officially launches National Recovery Month.

“I embrace any opportunity like this, where we gather to tell our stories and champion the “promise of recovery. Two things always seem to happen, connection is gained and stigma is reduced.” Farley said.

Farley is an author, national speaker, recovery advocate, and brother of the late comedian Chris Farley. Through his work with Recovery.com, he travels nationwide sharing his family’s experience and encouraging honest conversations about addiction, recovery, and hope.
